UL Lafayette Welcoming Students for New Semester

Students at the Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ at Louisiana at Lafayette are being welcomed back to campus as courses are set to begin Aug. 22.

Welcome Week starts Sunday with a barbecue at the band field behind Angel Hall. The barbecue, sponsored by United Campus Ministries, starts at 5 p.m. and open to all students.

On Monday students will be greeted with doughnuts and fruit at the corner of Rex Street and St. Mary Boulevard. Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ administrators, coaches and student leaders will be handing out the treats starting at approximately 7:30 a.m.

Other plans throughout the week include a Residence Hall Association and Greek Affairs giveaway on Rex Street Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and Get on Board Day in the Quad for organizations starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. On Thursday, students can enjoy a Dive-In Movie at the Student Aquatic Center at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday students, faculty and staff can enjoy free breakfast in the Quad at 7:30 a.m. followed by a block party on Rex Street at 11 a.m.
