Dr. Monica Wright is a professor and the department head of the Department of Modern Languages.
Biography
Dr. Monica L. Wright is the Granger and Debaillon Professor of French and Medieval Studies. She is an expert on the representation of clothing and textiles in the French courtly literature of the twelfth century, and is interested in the relationship between sartorial signifiers and narrative structure as well as what literature can tell us about medieval material culture.
She serves as editor of the international, interdisciplinary journal . Her publications include her book , available in multiple formats, including open access, and the chapter on Literary Representations in .
